PICO Question

Formulate a question to research.  Use the PICO format to state the question:

   P    Patient population or disease of interest

   I    Intervention

   C   Comparison or "compared to"

   O   Outcome "have improved"

Identify the broad topic and narrower focused topics.

Use books to get an overview of the broad topic.

Use a library database to search for evidence-base practice periodical articles.

Evaluate the search results.

Document the sources.

Create a citation.
